The Kalpana Fellowship has been launched by Skyroot Aerospace as a new effort to promote female diversity in the space industry. This new initiative is the first fellowship in India solely focused on advancing women engineers in space technology.

The CEO and co-founder of Skyroot, Pawan Chandana, stressed the need of having more women in STEM fields and the space industry, saying that they can contribute more innovation, creativity, and impact. With the Kalpana Fellowship, we hope to give female engineers the chance to collaborate on innovative space projects, be mentored by leading professionals, and utilise Skyroot’s first-rate infrastructure.”
After completing the one-year fellowship, selected candidates will have the chance to join Skyroot Aerospace’s dynamic team of 300 space specialists working towards the development of cutting-edge space launch vehicles on a full-time basis. A three-phase evaluation is part of the fellowship selection process, and its purpose is to gauge the intellectual and mental capacities necessary to meet the program’s objectives.
