Andhra Pradesh and edX sign an agreement for free online education

The e-learning platform provides more than 2,000 online courses from prestigious universities around the globe.

On Friday, February 16, at his camp office outside of the city, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will witness the signature of an agreement between senior officials of the Andhra Pradesh government and representatives of the e-learning platform edX regarding the provision of top-notch higher education courses to the youth.

According to an official statement, the deal makes it possible for over 12 lakh students to enrol in more than 2,000 free edX online courses provided by prestigious colleges and other educational establishments throughout the world in addition to their normal coursework. Lessons were taught to pupils by instructors selected from among the best universities and institutions in the globe.
